My First Nowruz

Learn about Nowruz, the new year, in a playful way. If you know someone from one of the countries where Nowruz is celebrated, ask them about their family traditions, how do they welcome the new year? 🙂 Instructions for Activity Book and Place Mats: Download the pdf files (under the ••• menu) and print. Designed by Saiesha Pitroda for ARCH. Check out her work here.

Buddha Puzzle

Instructions: Download the pdf file (under the ••• menu). Print both pages. Have a friend cut the image into puzzle pieces for you. Glue the pieces into the frame. Suggestions: 1) print out the buddha page in B&W to turn it into a coloring sheet, 2) print the frame on card stock paper, and the puzzle on thicker paper.

Musiqar Coloring Sheets

This booklet is taken from our children’s book Musiqar, The Magical Bird. The last page invites you to imagine your own magical, musical, fairy tale bird. When Musiqar heard about a very sad and oppressed kingdom, the thousand year old bird flew there quickly and with its beak played beautiful music to uplift the people and to turn the evil king into a good king.” Instructions: Download the pdf files (under the ••• menu) and print.
